Center Channel Speakers
Selecting a center channel speaker for home theater is essential for a complete home theater system.
The center channel speaker should provide dialog that is easy to understand as well as accurate musical representation.
In a home theater application such as a 5.1 system, the center channel,
along with 2 front speakers (left and right), 2 rear speakers (left and right), and
a subwoofer work together to provide realistic surround sound for the home.
Center channel speakers use tweeters and mid-range drivers to process dialog and a good portion of the sound effects,
while the subwoofer and left/right speakers provide the low frequency sounds.
Most center channel speakers are magnetically shielded so they won’t disturb the picture display.
